Tengai Makyou: Kabuki Ittou Ryoudan, Kikugoro and Manto X

If you told me these two had the same voice actor, I wouldn’t have known. Ya learn something new everyday, I guess. Anyhow, more character quotes from Kabuki Ittou Ryoudan. I was somewhat taking liberties with a couple lines, but I explained why with a few footnotes at the bottom.

* I don’t know if I did alright here. The Kiku in Kikugoro is the kanji for “chrysanthemum”, and he’s puffing his chest here while also being laughably dandy-ish, which is kind of a big part of his character. In the script, he says he is “Kiku-chan”, but hte -chan could also stand for “father”, but it might not and I might be overthinking this to a big fault. Anyhow, at least I explained the intent???
**This is making fun of a different Japanese proverb, the proverb being, “Sit under a rock for three years” which means something more like, “A watched pot never boils”. I just swapped it with another idiom that fit monkey better and retained most of the meaning.
***So Manto clearly has this thing about taking over the series. Zeami is actually pretty popular with female fans of the series, so Manto is robbing Zeami of some of the stuff he clearly needs to handle his own fangirls.
